What to do in Kilkee...

Activities in and around Kilkee include safe swimming, walking, tennis, squash, golf, pitch and putt, children's amusements, free-diving and surfing. The area offers quite a few natural amenities around its horseshoe-shaped bay. Breathtaking cliff walks offer splendid scenery. The town of Kilkee itself has all kinds of shops, pubs, some fine restaurants, and an indoor water pool (Kilkee Waterworld, open in season only).

Watersports
The safe sheltered sandy beach enables all kinds of watersports as it is protected by Duggerna Reef, which is a natural wonder itself with some large and small rock pools full of marine life. The waters around Kilke are among the clearest in the Atlantic ocean. A diving centre provides for the necessary equipment.

Golfing
We're only 5 mins from the Kilkee Golf Links Course and 15 mins from Greg Norman designed Doonbeg Golf Links Course. More golf courses cayn be found nearby, in Kilrus, Spanish Point, Lahinch and Ennis. Ballybunion in Kerry is just across the Shannon Estuary. [more...]

Sightseeing
The Cliff scenery all along to Loop Head Lighthouse  is one of Kilkee's greatest natural attractions. Loop Head Drive will take you to numerous scenic outlooks as well as to cliff angling spots. A variety of rare birds, dolphins, whales and seals appear regularly on and around Loop Head.   Other sightseeing options are certainly the other sights on the West coast of Clare: the Cliffs of Moher, Doolin and the Aran Islands, the Burren.
